Annual Fund

Dear St. David's Family,

This is an exciting time to be a part of St. David's School history! We are able to witness daily the growth and development taking place on our campus and in the lives of the students. It is a blessing that St. David's seeks to be a shining light in this community and in our children's lives by equipping their minds with knowledge, shaping their character and virtue, and strengthening and growing their faith in Jesus Christ. This is why we have agreed to chair this year's Annual Fund.

Simply stated, the Annual Fund makes up the difference between the School's tuition income and operating expenses. As recently noted in the Annual Report, tuition only covers 89% of the operating cost of our School. In order to continue to support the top quality education and school programs that St. David's strives to offer, the Annual Fund is essential.

It helps cover the expected annual operating expenses such as competitive teacher salaries and latest classroom technology, as well as, helps cover the unexpected expenses such as telephone system repair and muddy football field clean-up. Finally, The Annual Fund is a tangible way to show your support to our faculty, staff, and our coaches who give of themselves every day in and out of the classroom to our children.

Of course, as most of you know, this is a unique time in the fundraising efforts of St. David's School. The Together for Excellence Capital Campaign is seeking to raise $15 million over the next five years to advance our School. Simultaneously, the 2008-2009 Annual Fund is seeking to raise $400,000 this year to bridge the 11% operating gap that tuition doesn't cover. Both efforts are vital and necessary to the present and the future growth of our school and both are worthy of our generous support.

1 Chronicles 29:14 reads… “ But who am I and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you and we have given you only what comes from your hand.” We are thankful for the opportunity to participate in such a worthy endeavor. We urge you to prayerfully join us in supporting this year's St. David's School 2008-2009 Annual Fund .
