Annual Fund

Dear St. David's families and friends,

As we write this letter to you, we are filled with many great memories of our years at St. David's School. We began our journey in the fall of 1993 by enrolling our oldest child Jennifer in kindergarten—an amazing sixteen years ago. Each year we have seen our children grow and develop, further solidifying our commitment to faith-based, private education. Now, with two children in college and one child months away from taking that step, we are in the unique position to be able to look back and be thankful for St. David's and all that it is to our family.

St. David's is more than just a school. We refer to St. David's as a community. It is a wonderful community consisting of generous and caring parent volunteers that partner with enthusiastic and inspiring faculty, coaches and administrators all for the benefit of our children. Having watched our children develop and mature at St. David's, we are confident they have a solid foundation, grounded in faith, virtue, and knowledge, on which to build their future. We will be forever grateful to you, the St. David's community, for your impact on our family.

When we were asked to chair this year's Annual Fund, we were honored and thrilled with the opportunity to give back to the institution that has so dramatically shaped not only our children's lives, but also our own. As noted in the 2008-2009 Annual Report, tuition only covers 88 percent of the operating cost of our School. In order to continue to support the top-quality education and programs that St. David's offers, the Annual Fund is essential. The goal of the 2009-2010 Annual Fund is to raise $360,000 which will be used primarily to support the academic mission of the school. Our teachers and our classrooms need our support.

We understand and appreciate the commitment that many of you have made towards the Together for Excellence Capital Campaign as well. It is a rare opportunity that we can have such a dramatic impact on both the present and the future with our giving. Both efforts are key to the well-being and success of this school and both are worthy of our support.
