The Fine Arts department is committed to helping students discover and develop their creative gifts. St. David's School believes that every child, as an image-bearer of the Creator God, is born with the capacity to create, whether it be through the painting a picture, acting a scene, singing a melody, or playing an instrument. In keeping with the school's mission, the Fine Arts department expects that as each student's faith develops, their character will then mature, and their knowledge will produce the highest forms of creative expression. The arts have always reflected the surrounding culture of a society. By encouraging them to pursue virtuous artistic endeavors, St. David's trusts its students will positively enrich and influence the society in which they live.

The fine art teachers at St. David's School are highly trained professionals who guide their students in the history, techniques, and essentials of their area of expertise. St. David's Fine Arts Department comprises band, drama, music, and the visual arts. Each of these build upon the principles established through the development of the arts in Western civilization. Students at St. David's School have the opportunity to experience the joy of the arts from kindergarten through the twelfth grade.
