Coach's Overview

The St. David's cross country teams hosted EPIC teams at the St. David's Invitational at Wendell Park this Wednesday. In their last meeting, the boys just missed a perfect score, but this time they got the extra point, taking the first five places to score a perfect 15. (This is like a 300 in bowling, or maybe shooting 18 holes in one in a round of golf. That might be overdoing it.) Needless to say, the boys won in commanding fashion, with freshman John Rohr taking the overall title, followed by Garrett Pedersen, Jeremy Gage, Isaac Stroud, and Sam Doyle. Cody Bruce and Tim Bubac weren't far behind in 8th and 9th respectively. The girls team also took top team and individual honors, with Maggie O'Hara getting her second win in as many races. Only six Warrior girls finished the race, but that's all they needed to win with a score of 38. Freshmen Wynn Mitchell and Kinsey McDaniel in 3rd and 10th, Senior Lauren Conder was 11th and freshmen Rachel Schwitzgebel and Lily Lasher finished 13th and 19th. Our next race is on Wednesday the 8th at Village Christian versus some strong teams from the CFIC. Last year we swept the team and individual titles also, and this year's teams look even better.
