Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop social media campaigns that help achieve marketing goals for St. David’s School.
Develop content strategy calendar, working a month out, that is designed to engage users and create an interactive relationship between St. David’s School, students, parents and alumni on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social platforms like Pinterest and YouTube.
Setting initial benchmarks for followers, increased traffic, etc.
Create, including photography and design, buzzworthy/viral, thumb-stopping content for cross platforms and an extensive knowledge on scheduling posts.
Enhance the St. David’s brand and build strong online communities, growing social media followers, through targeted social medium platforms.
Also be able to collaborate with different departments on information gathering for posts.
Strategic thinking and planning regarding posts around spontaneous events.
Collect and review social media analytics to develop more effective campaigns.
Develop monthly reports on emerging social media trends that will be submitted to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
Analyze the long-term needs of the school’s social media strategy and offer quarterly reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications that outline any necessary changes to the digital marketing plan.
Ability to take creative direction from the Director of Marketing and Communications to create visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform and captivate consumers.
Develop the overall layout and production design, as well as editing existing vector artwork, for promotional needs that include: invitations, digital boards, social media, brochures, magazines, campus signage, cut sheets and electronic newsletter.
Ability to multi-task, receive constructive feedback, meet deadlines and quickly adapt to new technologies.
Take approved creative and format for various channels of promotion.
Well-versed in the following software programs: Adobe Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, and Microsoft Office including Publisher.
Knowledge of typography, color and print production.
Willingness toward continual learning to keep skills and industry knowledge current.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Graphic Design
3-5 years in graphic design and social media management
Knowledge of camera equipment, lighting and photo correction, how to compose a shot, understand framing, color and light to create visually pleasing photographs used for promotion and social media.
Familiarity with Adobe Premier or iMovie preferred but not required.
Exceptional multi-tasking skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Creative samples of your current work will be requested.
