Christian Life

Christian
life at St. David's manifests itself both formally and spontaneously
on campus. Within the daily schedule, Upper School students, faculty and administration
gather in the chapel for Morning Prayer and announcements. Once a week, the school
conducts services for the students and faculty. Through corporate song, prayer and
liturgy during the service, the students are equipped with a thorough understanding
of the Episcopal tradition.
Outside of the prescribed daily and weekly schedules, students have the opportunity
to lead and influence campus organizations such as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes
and Friday Morning Fellowship. The two Christian Life Committees (middle school
and upper school) draw students from various denominations, and encourage the display
of Christian virtues in the classroom, on the athletic fields, and amongst peers.
While faculty members sponsor both organizations, the responsibility of leadership
and administration primarily resides with the students involved. In accordance with
the school's mission, each facet of the Christian life at St. David's enables the
students to integrate faith, virtue and knowledge.
