All tours and visits must be coordinated with the Admissions Office.

St. David's School Admissions Guidelines
St. David's School seeks students who can contribute to and benefit from the school's college-preparatory program. Students are selected for admission to the school on the basis of academic potential, school achievement, interest in and readiness for the school's programs, willingness to contribute to the school community, and appropriateness of the match between the family and the school. Selection is also based on the completed application, the results of the admissions assessment or testing, teacher evaluations, and previous academic record. St. David’s School best serves those who are prepared and motivated to meet the requirements of a rigorous academic program. St. David's is open to all qualified students and is committed to its admission policy as non-discriminatory on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, nationality or ethnic origin, and to administering its policies and programs accordingly.
St. David's School Admissions Process and Requirements
To make applying for admission easier, we have listed each step of the application process below. Please complete and submit the following application requirements:
- Schedule a visit with the Admissions Office to visit and tour the campus. (You may reserve a space at a Group Tour and Information Session, or schedule an individual tour and visit.)
- Submit an application, either online or printed. (An online application is preferred.)
- Complete and submit either the Parent Observation (grades Pre-K through 4) or Student Questionnaire (grades 5 through 12).
- Schedule and complete the appropriate Admissions Testing or Assessment.
- Provide the Admissions Office with previous school transcripts or report cards (2 most recent years.)
- Provide current teacher(s) with grade level appropriate Teacher Evaluation form(s) (available to the right) and have them submitted directly to the St. David’s School Admissions Office.
- Schedule a Classroom Visit Day for your child.
St. David's School Application Process
Step 1: Submit an Application
An online application is preferred. However, if you prefer, you may print, complete, and submit a printed application. (All applications forms are available on the right-hand sidebar.)
Step 2: Classroom Visit Day
A classroom visit day is required for all students applying to grades 1-12 as part of the application process. A visit day is an opportunity for a student to experience the St. David's School community first-hand. All students are hosted in their current grade, with the exception of 9th grade applicants, who visit with a current 9th grade student. Please contact the Admissions Office
at 919-782-3331 to schedule your child’s classroom visit day.Step 3: Biographical Forms - complete and submit the appropriate biographical forms
Step 4: Admissions Assessment or Testing
Students applying for admission into grades 5-12 are required to complete the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). The Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) consists of verbal and quantitative ability tests, mathematics and reading comprehension achievement tests, and an essay that demonstrates a student's writing skills. Step 5: Teacher Evaluations
Please print the grade level appropriate Teacher Evaluation form(s) to the right, and request that your child’s current teacher(s) complete and return directly to the St. David’s School Admissions Office.
